ETABLISSEMENTS MONROUX (17780 Soubise, France – SCAR network dealer) and Mr. Couq ( SOLANO HORIZONTE sales representative in France) launched a SNP 500-4-40 pneumatic seed drill sold in the Charentes Maritimes department on October 30, 2014.
Seeder start-up
The seed drill, which has a working width of 5 meters, is mounted with 40 arms arranged in 4 rows and equipped with our mechanical spring safety system. The hopper capacity is 1,800 liters. The farmer who purchased the seed drill has 180 hectares. He will sow wheat at 155 kg/ha, working at a speed of between 10 and 12 km/h with a 115 hp tractor.
The planter was started in a marshy soil in dry conditions (heavy and hard soil, which has not prevented it from sticking in the ground without any problem) and in which the farmer had previously planted corn. The field had been worked by one pass of subsoiler, two passes of chisels and one pass of power harrow. Plant and corn stalk residue remained. The planter was not dulled at any time.
